The Automotive Hall of Fame is proud to announce our sponsorship of the 2016 Midtown Car Show™. This marks the second consecutive year that the Hall of Fame has sponsored this great event. Held at the Detroit School of Arts on Selden Ave. in Detroit, the Midtown Car Show serves as a learning program that enhances students’ artistic skills while preparing them for employment and entrepreneurial opportunities in the auto industry.

The car show is an annual event which was first held in 2013 and was the inspiration of DSA Visual Arts teacher John Wood. The show’s theme focuses on cars in conjunction with art, fashion, and music in order to promote Detroit’s automotive heritage. Cars will be displayed in the school’s television studio, and students will give performances and display artistic works throughout the duration of the show.

The 2016 show will open on Thursday, April 28, with student-only tours from DSA as well as other visiting schools. The show will open to the public on Friday, April 29, from 11 am to 7:30 pm and again on Saturday, April 30, from 11 am to 6 pm. Student performances will include poetry, musical performances, a student automobile art auction, and workshops that promote safe driving for teens.

This show is truly an amazing showcase of student talent and great cars. The Automotive Hall of Fame is honored to be part of this program and is looking forward to a continued partnership with the school. Sponsorship opportunities are still available for the show.
