The Automotive Hall of Fame serves as administrator to over $20,000 in combined college scholarships annually.

To be eligible for a scholarship you must:
  • Submit a completed application form indicating a sincere interest in an automotive career.
  • Provide an official transcript of all academic work.
  • Submit two letters of recommendation supporting your automotive interests.
  • Submit a letter of acceptance for an associate, bachelor, or masters program.
  • Be accepted at an accredited college, university or trade school within the United States at the time of application (trade school should equal a two-year associate program).
  • Student must be a United States citizen or in the United States on a Student Visa.
  • Must be enrolled full-time.
  • Must have 3.0 GPA or higher.

Interested students can request an application by sending a letter with a self-addressed stamped envelope or download the application.

If requesting by mail, the application request letter should include the name of the college or university you attend or plan to attend, your year of study (i.e. High School Senior, Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior), your field of study and your current G.P.A. (students attending technical training schools may also apply.)

The following are the various scholarships for which you may apply (you need not send a separate application for each scholarship):

Larry H. Averill Memorial Scholarship

Upper level undergraduate; automotive career interest; 3.0 minimum GPA required; full-time at an accredited college or university; financial need considered.

Harold Dieckmann Draper, Sr. Scholarship
Upper level undergraduate; automotive career interest; 3.4 minimum GPA required; full-time at an accredited college or university; financial need considered.

John E. Echlin Memorial Scholarship
Upper level undergraduate; automotive career interest; 3.0 minimum GPA required; full-time at an accredited college or university; financial need considered.

Carlyle Fraser / Wilton Looney Scholarship
Upper level undergraduate; automotive aftermarket career interest; 3.4 minimum GPA required; full-time at an accredited college or university (preference given to students attending Northwood University); financial need considered.

John Goerlich Memorial Scholarship
Upper level undergraduate; automotive career interest; 3.4 minimum GPA required; full-time at an accredited college or university; financial need considered.

Charles V. Hagler Scholarship
Automotive career interest; 3.0 minimum GPA required; full-time at an accredited college or university; financial need considered.

Zenon C.R. Hansen Memorial Scholarship
Upper level undergraduate; automotive/trucking career interest; 3.4 minimum GPA required; full-time at an accredited college or university; financial need considered.

John W. Koons, Sr. Memorial Scholarship
Upper level undergraduate; automotive career interest; 3.4 minimum GPA required; full-time at an accredited college or university; financial need considered.

Ken Krum / Bud Kouts Memorial Scholarship
Upper level undergraduate; automotive career interest; 3.0 minimum GPA required; full-time at an accredited college or university; financial need considered.

Brouwer D. McIntyre Memorial Scholarship
Upper level undergraduate; automotive replacement parts industry career interest; 3.0 minimum GPA required; full-time at Northwood University; financial need considered.

Jim Moran Scholarship
Full-time student at any campus of Northwood University majoring in Automotive Marketing or Automotive Aftermarket. Minimum grade point average 2.75 on a 4.00 point scale; financial need considered. Preference given to students previously awarded.

Dorothy M. Ross Memorial Scholarship
Undergraduate; automotive career interest ; 3.0 minimum GPA required; full-time at an accredited college or university.

Stuart H. Snyder Memorial Scholarship
Undergraduate; automotive/trucking career interest; 3.4 minimum GPA required; full-time at an accredited college or university; financial need considered.

Walter W. Stillman Scholarship
Upper level undergraduate; automotive career interest ;3.0 minimum GPA required; full-time at Northwood University; financial need considered; peference given to students from New Jersey.

TRW Foundation Scholarship
Undergraduate; automotive engineering interest; 3.0 minimum GPA required; full-time at an accredited college or university (preference to the University of Michigan); U.S. citizen; financial need considered.

Zurich Scholarship
Upper level undergraduate; automotive career interest; 3.0 minimum GPA required; full-time at Northwood University; financial need considered.

J. Irving Whalley Memorial Scholarship
Upper level undergraduate; automotive career interest; 3.0 minimum GPA required; full-time at Northwood University; financial need considered.

M.H. Yager Memorial Scholarship
Upper level undergraduate; automotive career interest; 3.4 minimum GPA required; full-time at an accredited college or university; financial need considered.

Society of Automotive Analysts Scholarship
Business major including economics, finance, business administration, marketing management; demonstrates interest in automotive analysis; full time student; undergraduate; minimum 3.0 grade point average.
