The Automotive Hall of Fame invites you to join Detroit’s premier automotive celebration. Every year, individuals who have made significant contributions to the industry are inducted into the Automotive Hall of Fame at a ceremony honoring their achievements. We would like you to join us and the “who’s-who” of global automotive professionals in recognizing this year’s inductees. Our 2017 Induction Ceremony will be held on Thursday, July 20 in the Grand Riverview Ballroom at Cobo Center in Detroit.
The festivities will begin at 6 p.m. with a cocktail reception in the atrium outside the ballroom overlooking the Detroit River. Appetizers and drinks will be provided along with live music and vehicle displays representing each of our inductees. Our display vehicles embody over 100 years of innovation in the automotive industry from all over the world. They include the Cadillac Ciel Concept car styled by Ed Welburn, a Fruehauf trailer pulled by a Model T pickup, Mark Martin’s 1994 NASCAR Winston Cup car, and other noteworthy vehicles.
Dinner service will begin at 7 p.m. with opening remarks by our President, Bill Chapin, and acceptance speeches from each of our inductees. There also will be appearances on video from numerous automotive luminaries and other celebrities including Mary Barra, Edsel B. Ford II, Jay Leno, Mark Martin, and 2015 Automotive Hall of Fame Inductee Luca di Montezemolo.
