Bill Chapin has been involved in the automotive industry his entire life. He is the grandson of Roy D. Chapin, founder of the Hudson Motor Car Company, and the son of Roy D. Chapin, Jr. former Chairman and CEO of American Motors Corporation.
In his own right, Bill Chapin has had a long and productive career in the automotive industry. He spent 14 years with American Motors on assignments both in the United States and in Europe. He then founded Chapin & Co., an automotive marketing services company.
Since 1999, Bill has devoted his career to preserving and promoting the automotive heritage of Detroit and southeast Michgian. Bill joined the Automotive Hall of Fame Board of Directors in 2005, and in 2010, he was appointed its president.
