Carol B. Yancey

Carol Yancey has served Genuine Parts Company in a number of different roles for more than 30 years. In 1991, Yancey was hired by Genuine Parts Company for her dedication and commitment to her work. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Georgia, graduating Cum Laude in 1985. 

Upon graduation, she went to work for Ernst & Young, a “big four” public accounting firm, and her main audit client was Genuine Parts Company. Yancey’s skills impressed Genuine Parts Company, and she was hired by GPC in April of 1991. She has held various positions in the Finance Department and was named corporate secretary in August 1995.   

Yancey is a CPA and a member in good standing with American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Georgia Society of CPAs. She is also a member of the National Investor Relations Institute and of the American Society of Corporate Secretaries. 

Yancey is also active in her community and has been a volunteer for the United Way Corporate Campaign, Special Audiences, Inc. and Very Special Arts of Georgia Corporate Campaign.  

In 2013, Yancey was promoted to chief financial & accounting officer for Genuine Parts Company. Since then, company sales have grown over $6 billion. As of 2021, Yancey still holds this title.
