Shilpan Amin currently leads GM International, which consists of GM’s global operations outside of North America and China, including South America, the Middle East, Africa, Korea, Europe, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and Israel and central Asia – a position he has held since April 2022. Prior to this appointment, Amin served as vice president, global purchasing and supply chain. In this position, he successfully led GM’s strategic response to the global supply chain shortage brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, leading development of industry-wide solutions around government engagement, COVID safety protocols and communications. He has been with General Motors since 1996, and has held various leadership roles within GM’s Vehicle Engineering and Global Purchasing and Supply Chain organizations.
