Along with two other investors, he purchased Hemmings Motor News in 1968 and moved the business from the Midwest to Bennington, Vermont, where it has grown to a staff of more than 140 employees. He led Hemmings in the expansion and development of new publications and merchandise including Special Interest Autos magazine and Hemmings Rods & Performance, providing technical features, aftermarket parts reviews, color car features and an expansive listing of classifieds to meet the growing demand of street rod, muscle car, and custom car enthusiasts.
