John F. Krafcik

Krafcik joined Ford Motor Company in 1990 where he held various positions including Manager of Transit Chassis Engineering. Krafcik holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and a Master of Science degree in Management from the MIT Sloan School of Management.  His experiences at NUMMI led him to MIT and to the concept of lean. He is currently CEO, Google Self-Driving Cars.

Krafcik is President and CEO of Hyundai Motor America. Krafcik was the first American engineer hired by New United Motor Manufacturing, Inc. (NUMMI), the Toyota-GM joint venture in Fremont, California.
