As Chrysler Chairman, Eaton told Chief Executive Magazine he wanted to be the first chairman of Chrysler who never had to bring the company back from bankruptcy.  He is credited with leading the company to the formation of DaimlerChrysler.  Since joining Chrysler in 1992, he has overseen the strengthening of the company’s balance sheet and been the steward of Chrysler’s growth in domestic and international markets.
