Sir Lewis Hamilton

1985 -

At 8 just years old, Sir Lewis Hamilton was bitten by the racing bug. He joined the McLaren Young Driver Program before moving to British Formula Renault, and then eventually to Formula One racing. 

Hamilton made his Grand Prix debut with McLaren Mercedes in 2007 and set numerous records. In 2008, he earned his first Formula One World Championship. Hamilton joined the Mercedes team in 2013.  

He has since earned seven World Driver’s Championships. In 2020, Hamilton broke multiple records despite the challenges of COVID-19 and used his platform to support antiracism as a human rights issue.
