As Senior Manager of Advanced Technology Strategy Planning at Daimler/Chrysler Corporation, he is developing new technologies that might someday make internal combustion engine (ICE) obsolete. He manages DaimlerChrysler’s fuel cell technology development.  Following the merger of Chrysler and Daimler-Benz, Borrini-Bird was the youngest representative named to the Research & Technology Post Merger Integration team.  Borroni-Bird received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Cambridge University and a Ph.D from Cambridge University in surface Science.
