William R. Carey

Lifelong inventor William R. Carey is the retired Director of Quality Corporate Research and Development for Eaton Corporation. Carey is credited with inventing the modern air bag. a safety device that has saved many lives. Carey started the Eaton Quality Institute in 1982 and was involved in the formation of the coveted Malcolm Baldridge Quality Award, receiving a certificate of appreciation from the Department of Commerce for his contributions.
