John J. Murphy has been a significant contributor to the industry forecasting field. As a leading research analyst and managing director at Bank of America Merrill Lynch he has been a consistent key presence in the automotive financial industry for over 20 years. After earning a bachelor’s degree in quantitative economics from Tufts University in 1997 and briefly working at the National Economic Research Associates (NERA) in the banking and finance practice, Murphy joined Merrill Lynch in 1999.
